Bryan Carter
lead Pastor
Bryan joined our team in June of 2021. He has been a pastor for 16 years in North Mississippi and Montana. Bryan is passionate about two things: teaching the Bible, and raising up men to take the responsibility that God has given them to heart and lead their families. Bryan and his wife, Shay, have been married for over 20 years and have four children: Thatcher, Weller, Evangeline, and Elise.
Marshall Johnston
Director of Strategy & Operations
Marshall has been on board at First Moss Bluff since December 2022. He has been in the ministry for over 28 years, serving mostly in Texas in multiple positions, including senior pastor, executive pastor, and seminary professor. His passions are to equip God’s people to glorify the Lord in every area of their lives and to steward God’s resources in His church to faithfully, dependently, and effectively serve the Great Commission. Marshall and his wife, Kathy, have been married for 33 years and have three adult children and four grandchildren.
Blake Ainsworth
Worship Pastor
Blake has been our Worship Pastor since June of 2015. He leads an incredibly talented group of musicians who point us to Jesus on a weekly basis. Blake has been leading worship for over 10 years and sees his role as helping facilitate a connection between God and His people through music. Blake and his wife Krystle have been married since 2014 and have two children, Grayson and Riley.
Lawren Louviere
FAMILY MINISTRY DIRECTOR
Lawren came to us from First Baptist Pasadena, Texas in May of 2016. She is our Family Ministry Director working with all age-grade ministries and their teams. She has worked in children’s ministry for over 10 years and stepped into this role in March of 2022. She truly values the importance of families. Lawren loves hanging out with her family and friends, especially with her husband, Adam. Lawren and Adam have been married since April of 2022 and have one child, Crew Thomas.
Justin LeBlanc
Student Pastor
Justin joined our team as Student Pastor in August 2022. He has been serving in student ministry for over 18 years. Prior to serving here at First Moss Bluff, he has served in Lafayette, Clinton, and Zachary, Louisiana. He has a passion for seeing students take their next steps in following Jesus and loves to help facilitate discipleship. Justin and his wife Natalie have been married since 2007 and have two children, Palmer and Nicholas.
Beau Guidry
Director of Small Groups
Beau came to us in October of 2014 to serve as our Director of Small Groups. For over 20 years, Beau has served churches in South Louisiana in roles from Student Pastor to Senior Pastor. Over the last few years, Beau has expanded our small group ministry to include on-campus and off-campus groups. Beau and his wife Olivia have been married since 2006 and have two children, Eli and Eden.
John Louviere
Connections Pastor
John has been on our staff since July of 2017 when he began as our Student Pastor. Today, he serves as our Connections Pastor where he helps visitors and members get connected to First Moss Bluff and take their Next Step in their walk with Jesus. John and his wife Amber have been married since 2006 and have two children, Regan and Rhett.
Bill Saxby
Pastoral Care / Missions
Bill began his service with First Moss Bluff in the summer of 2019. Before joining our staff, Bill was a Senior Pastor in Arkansas for 18 years. Bill works with our Senior Adult ministry and cares for members by doing hospital visits and other Pastoral Care. He also leads First Moss Bluff’s mission efforts with a focus on the local community and an eye on global responsibility. Bill and his wife Lisa have been married 39 years and have two grown sons, Caleb and Levi.
Roy Chapin
Counseling Pastor
Roy is the Pastor of Counseling in our Biblical Counseling Ministry. He possesses 32 years of counseling experience, including 9 years with the Meier Clinic in Chicago, as well as 23 years in pastoral roles. Although he is not a licensed psychologist or counselor, Roy is a trained biblical, pastoral counselor. Roy and his wife Carol have been married 42 years and have three married sons.
Seth Cooley
Young Adult Pastor
Seth has grown up attending First Moss Bluff and joined our staff originally as a worship intern in 2017. Today, he serves as our Young Adult Pastor where he seeks to connect college students and young adults to Jesus through community. Seth and his wife Dani have been married since 2020.
Jill Bellon
Director of Children
Jill joined our team as Director of Children in January of 2023. She has been working with children in the church setting and in education for over 10 years. Prior to serving here as Director of Children, she taught Kindergarten, 3rd Grade, and middle school, as well as worked for the church staff as Preschool Coordinator for 3 years. She loves partnering with families to show them the love of Jesus. Jill and her husband Dustin have been married for 16 years and have two girls, Micah and Demi.
Bubba Sharpton
Campus Pastor - First North
Bubba joined our team as Campus Pastor of First North in June of 2023. He has been serving on a volunteer basis in various roles here at First Moss Bluff for the past 10 years. He is passionate about helping others come to an understanding of the Gospel, experience freedom in Christ, and walk in their God-given purpose. He is also passionate about helping people grow from disciple to disciple-maker. Bubba and his wife Brandi have been married since 1995 and have two children, Cade and his wife Kiah, Carli Beth, and one granddaughter, Ember Jo.
