VIP (Volunteers In Preschool) Information

Dads+moms+brothers+sisters+grandparents+aunts+uncles+cousins = FAMILY!

One of the greatest blessings of being part of a FAMILY is taking care of one another. Our church is a FAMILY and, as such, we have a responsibility to care for one another. One way to do that is through our Extended Care for preschoolers.

Who are our VIPs?

1. Dads and moms of preschoolers who are served by this ministry
2. For parents of newborns, serving begins when their baby is 6 months old.
3. Other church FAMILY members are needed, as well, and may volunteer by contacting Margaret.

Many VIPs needed!

Our Extended Care is one example of how we take care of those who can't take care of themselves.  Each Sunday, many VIPs lovingly care for children ages birth through pre-K 5's during both of the morning services so that parents can attend worship. Frequency of service is based on the number of VIPs we have.  Our goal is to have enough VIPs to have everyone serve once every 8 weeks.

Making a difference in the lives of children! Help them learn:

· God loves me because, at church, there are people who love me.
· God’s people help other.
· I want to be at church because church is fun!
· I can let my parents out of my sight and trust that I will be taken care of and that my parents will come back for me.

Role of Extended Session VIPs

Your role is to guide children in their play and interact with them in positive ways as you reflect the love of Christ to them.  All new VIPs are shown where supplies are kept and instructed in how to guide children as they play.  An Extended Care monitor is available throughout the Extended Care time and is stationed at the Welcome Desk in the Children's Ministry Center if you need help or have any questions.
